CRITERIA FOR CO-ADVISOR ACCREDITATION IN PPGCTA

The research for the preparation of the dissertation or thesis will be individually supervised by the advisor or, optionally, by an Advisory Committee composed of the advisor and co-advisor(s).

The student’s Advisory Committee must be registered by the advisor in the AcademicoPG system.

If the co-advisor (professor/researcher) does not appear in the search for co-advisors in the system, the PPGCTA Secretariat should be contacted to verify if the researcher has already been accredited as a co-advisor at UFV and if their registration is active or has been closed.

If the registration is still active, it will be approved, allowing the researcher to be included in the student’s advisory committee.

If the registration is not active or does not exist, the professor/researcher will need to be accredited as a co-advisor in PPGCTA.

Required documents to request co-advisor accreditation in PPGCTA:

a) A letter from the PPGCTA advisor requesting accreditation to the coordinating committee of PPGCTA, with justification.

b) Updated Curriculum Vitae (Lattes) of the professor to be accredited.

c) Copy of the professor’s doctoral diploma.

d) Authorization from the immediate supervisor of the professor to be accredited (Request from the department head to which the professor is linked/organization in which they work/statement for self-employed individuals).

e) CPF (Brazilian Individual Taxpayer Registration) and email.
