New Format for Registering Dissertation and Thesis Titles
Due to the new format for submitting dissertations and theses through the AcadêmicoPG system, the following guidelines must be followed when entering titles:
- Titles entered during the nomination of dissertation/thesis committees must be written in lowercase letters, with only the first letter of the title capitalized, as well as proper names.
Example: Características da espécie de vegetação coletada na Floresta Amazônica - Scientific names must be written in italics, with only the first word capitalized.
Example: Características da espécie de vegetação coletada na Floresta Amazônica Bertholletia excelsa - Do not end the title with a period or any other punctuation mark.
If not submitted in this format, the committee registration will be returned for correction. - If the dissertation/thesis title includes a main title and a subtitle, only the main title should be in bold.
